Why Keep Crossing the Starting Line?

Date: March 27, 2015
Time:2:00-3:00 pm ET - free to all
Presenters:  Winona Hatcher, Instructional Designer, Georgia Regents University, Penny Kuckkahn, Instructional Designer, Nicolet College, Dixie Catlett, Instructor, Anne Arundel Community, Steve Gilbert, Beth Dailey - TLT Group.

Students and teachers move across the same starting line as they begin to learn and begin to teach online.  LastFridayLive!focused on tech and other support for students that didn't rely too heavily on faculty;   this week we’re focusing more on support for faculty that doesn't require too much from faculty…   LOWERING THRESHOLDS;  INCREASING COMFORT WITH CHANGE/IMPROVEMENTS  ….  DEEPENING LEARNING AND DECREASING (NOT INCREASING) WORKLOAD FOR FACULTY (AND STUDENTS?) AND OTHER COSTS
GOAL:  Help those who are already comfortably successful and committed to improvement to make teaching and learning more effective, comfortable, deeper…  without increasing “costs” (emotional, logistic, technological, financial, political, …)
